Spotify is now available to all the Indian users. The official application is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This is also available on Windows 10.

Spotify is one of the world’s biggest music streaming services that have been making efforts to tap the markets outside the US in which India has been one of its priority markets. The company has made a few changes too in order to encourage the Indian audience. For example, the subscription plans are very cheap in India than what it charges the users in the US.

Spotify India Price is Rs. 1,189 for the annual subscription. The top-up plans are available for Rs. 39 and this will last for seven days, Rs. 129 for one month, Rs. 389 for three months and 719 for six months.

Students can avail up to 50% discount on the monthly subscription. You may want to subscribe to Spotify Premium if you wish to access some premium-only features. The features would be very high-quality music streaming and downloads for offline listening. However, the free subscription option offers access to the entire library of music on Spotify India and remains ad-supported.

Spotify will be using the artificial intelligence algorithms in order to curate ‘city playlists’ that is based on what people in the cities such as Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai are listening to. Spotify will also offer multi-music recommendations based on the unique listening preferences.

In India, Spotify will have to contend with the competition from the likes of Gaana and JioSaavn both of which also offers an ad-free supported subscription option.

For subscriptions, the payment modes are limited to Visa and Mastercard Debit and Credit cards while the users can also make use of Paytm and UPI payment methods to buy the plans of your choice.
